| We currently have the first annual Al Sarvi and David Bushard Remembrance Fund raiser happening, and one generous donor has offered to match the first $1,000.00 that comes in. |
| The Minnesota Postal History Society has changed their meeting date this month and they will be meeting on Thursday May 23rd this month due to a scheduling conflict at the library. |
| We have added the Lyon County Stamp Club to our list of events. They meet on the second Monday each month. I don't know much more than that. |
| We will not have a presentation this month as the fourth Saturday is on Memorial weekend. We will have a fantastic presentation for June. |
| My cover this week is a registered cover with Scott #237. It was sent from Orlena, Texas on March 31, 1893, and received in Chicago on April 6th. Orlena was in Cooke County, Texas and the post office operated from 1888 to 1907.I found it interesting that it went from Cooke County, Texas to Cook County, Illinois. I guess it does not take too much to amuse me. |

| Library Corner: |
| This last Saturday was cleanup day at the Library. Several members came and helped sorting tubs of auction catalogs onto the new shelves in the basement. I concentrated on cataloging books into the Koha Library Catalog system. There is always book cataloging work to be done. |
