This Saturday will be a workday at the library. |

There will not be a program in August. We will resume monthly programs in September. One has already been planned. We are looking for presenters moving forward. Please contact me at pjflaherty58@gmail.com if interested. |

I get suggestions from some of you on covers they would like to see. I try to accommodate these requests, but they are often in an area that I don't collect, or even if I do have a few I don't know enough about them. One example of this is I have had requests to see U.S. Number 1's and 2's. The first problem here is I don't have and have never had a number two either loose or on cover. I have nothing against them other than the price. As far as number ones go, I only have a few on cover and a couple loose. All of them have issues which could be a horrible cancel or in most cases they don't have four good margins. I have one on cover with good margins, but the cancel is pretty heavy. I will show that one below. |

This is a good time to remind you all that if you have something that you want to show, please contact me at pjflaherty58@gmail.com. I will give you instructions on scanning and text. We are fairly limited in size and scans over 300 dpi will not upload on our server. I will copy your text from an email including any typos you have. I will not change a thing. People have sent me scans of covers or stamps and asked me to come up with the description and I declined. If it is your item, you get to describe it. The only rule we have is that it must be yours or was yours at some point. We can't put copyrighted images up or items that belong to someone else without their permission. If you do choose to do this, I will state that it is not my item and list who is providing the show and tell this week. I can limit it to your first name if you want. I encourage people to do this. It is simple and there are many areas of philately and collecting postal history that I do not collect that people would like to see. |

To sign up for the Toozday Nooze go to our website at NORPS.org, there you will find a link for the Toozday Nooze and on the event page where you can sign up to receive the Nooze every week and keep up on events and programs at the library as well as happenings with the local stamp clubs and shows. I have been told this does not work with some phones but should be accessible from your computer. You do not need to be a member of the library to receive this, but I encourage you to do so. We are run and organized 100% by volunteers and your donations keep the doors open and the lights on. |

I am working on my next video, and I promise a lot less of me and more on the covers themselves. The subject will be Fridley Postal History. The video will be shorter. I'm learning and I appreciate and listen to your comments. |
