Toozeday Nooze

Toozeday Nooze
EDITION 640 - 09/22/2026

The library will have a program on "Paper, Tagging and Ink Varieties" by Mark Stockburger this coming Saturday at 10:00 AM.
The open house was on Sunday. I hope we all went out to enjoy it.
The library has added an Exhibit case for philatelic history. Expect to see a good variety of topics covered with changes every 30 to 60 days. Contact Phil Seppamaki if you have an exhibit for display.

Stop by the library to see what's new!!

The meeting date for the Minnesota Postal History club was listed incorrectly by me. It is the 22nd. They meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month. I had them listed on the last Thursday and there are five this month.
My cover this week is from Hyde Park, Minnesota. It has a manuscript cancel of January 2, 1874. The Hyde Park post office was re-established on February 15, 1869. It ceased operation on July 19, 1880. It operated prior to this time period from July 6, 1857, to February 25, 1867. In the last census Hyde Park Township had a population of 257. The mail these days for Hyde Park Township is handled by Zumbro Falls.

Our presentation this month will be held on the 26th , at 10:00 AM. The topic is "Paper Tagging and Ink" by Mark Stockburger.
The Second Sunday show will actually be on the 4th Sunday this month due to scheduling conflicts at the venue
To sign up for the Toozeday Nooze go to our website at NORPS.org, there you will find a link for the Toozeday Nooze and on the event page where you can sign up to receive the Nooze every week and keep up on events and programs at the library as well as happenings with the local stamp clubs and shows. I have been told this does not work with some phones but should be accessible from your computer. You do not need to be a member of the library to receive this, but I encourage you to do so. We are run and organized 100% by volunteers and your donations keep the doors open and the lights on.

If you have anything that you want shared let me know at pjflaherty58@gmail.com
