| For this week's show and tell I have a postal card. It is #UX38. This is a very common card and with normal usage it has little collector value. It was however sent special delivery. The rate at the time was twenty cents for the special delivery service and two cents for the postal card. It was short paid five cents and did get marked and franked for the shortage. The note on the back is for an unpaid business transaction on some chairs. I find postcards and postal cards receiving special delivery service uncommon. To have been sent short paid and postage due only adds to its scarcity. This was another Ebay lot that was poorly described by the seller, and I was the only bidder getting this at the starting bid price. |
