| The Minnesota Postal History Society has a new meeting location. It is at; Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Room 211, Eden Prairie, MN 55347. |
| I hope to post what this month's program at the library will be this month soon. |
| The general consensus on the postcard posted a couple weeks ago is that it is a hidden image postcard known by postcard collectors as a "hold to light" postcard. I am told that if I hold it to a strong light the hidden image should appear. I have switched my lights at home to LED and I can see a hint of something. I need a stronger light. |
| My cover this week is another mystery to me. It is a postcard sent insured mail on October 26,1984 at the rate of $2.57. It is marked Special 4th Class Rate. The recipient turned the card over and sent it back to the original sender on November 21, 1984. It was again sent insured mail. This time the rate was $1.56. There are no messages on either side of the card. The purpose is a complete mystery to me. I would like to hear the theories on this one. |
