Toozeday Nooze

Toozeday Nooze
EDITION 570 - 05/27/2025

There is no planned event for this Saturday at the library.
There was an error in my data for last week's Nooze. I tried to make corrections which resulted in multiple copies being sent. I did not do sufficient research, and our software makes revisions difficult. I will try to avoid this in the future.
My cover this week was sent to Captain George Edgar Grisham in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Mr. Grisham served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He published the paper the Jonesborough Express. After the end of the Civil War, he published The Union Flag. The Union Flag was very controversial as a pro-union publication printed and published in Nashville, TN which had been a Confederate state. Several attempts were made to burn down the building where this was printed. It is believed that this was done by former Confederate soldiers.
